Family Trek to Jamalabad Fort [Gadaikallu]

I have decided to visit almost all place one by one around Muniyalu. After Bekal Fort tiredness journey, decided to visit Jamalabad Fort. The local people call it as Narasimha Ghad and Gadaikallu too.

It is just 80 KMs away from home (Muniyalu), close to Ujire. I had been this place during one of Western Ghat trek in October 2018. I am sure about my wife and son to hike this beautiful fort.

We left the home after breakfast around 9 am. My neighbor and son close aid Aniket [He calls him brother] also joined with us.

As usual Maruti 800 took us  safely to Ujire then Jamalabad Fort. The weather was very hot, it is indicative to beginning of summer.

Paid the entry fees, carried the enough water and begin our journey with posing pic. My son was more energetic and happy because of Aniket.

Indeed, it is little tough to hike in summer and itching sun. Please remember, we have to carry enough of water to kill the tiredness. Nothing is available on top.

Taking multiple breaks reached on the peak. It was cool breeze which gave relax to our tiered bodies.

Homemade yummy lunch finished on the top. My son and Aniket explored around the fort.

Now its time to turn back to home. Homemade food was waiting for us. Relaxed for sometime on the peak and had the snacks.

We had enough of time to reach home. Started descending the fort after spending more time.

Visited Dharmasthala and turned back to home. It was one more memorable family trip / trek.
